You'd think that any woman would be flattered at being compared to Angelina Jolie. However Canadian head turner Veronika Black says that her striking resemblance to the movie star is ruining her chances with men.
Black, tells the Daily Mail that men are often intimidated by her curvy figure and plump Jolie style lips. She says the comparisons to the Academy Award Winner began after she had a lip enhancing procedure done in 2011.
It happened overnight. I was working as a shop assistant at the time, and I was just a regular girl on the tills, but suddenly people mistook me for Angelina Jolie. It was bizarre, but Angelina is absolutely gorgeous so I was obviously flattered too.'
Black also mentions that this kind of attention is new to her, as she was often ignored and bullied as a teenager:
'The bullying started when I was eight and lasted until I left high school at 18. Along with being flat-chested, I also had really frizzy hair and was chubby. I definitely had an awkward phase. I never got invited to parties, and was constantly being told that no boy would ever want me. None of the guys at school showed any interest and I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 18.'
Now Black is a social media superstar with over 658,000 followers on Instagram. Ever since the comparisons have started, Black has received more than her fair share of weird requests from people. One person emailed her asking to 'save his country' obviously a nod to Jolie's well publicized humanitarian efforts.
However Black says all she wants is to find the man that is right for her:
'I particularly like older men with a bit of stubble - just like Brad Pitt.
