Nick Lachey Net Worth: 98 Degrees Star To Invest In Marijuana Growing Center

Former member of the popular band '98 Degrees', Nick Lachey, is investing in a marijuana growing center to be situated in Hudson, Ohio, under the proposed ballot issue, according to reports.

Reports say that the ResponsibleOhio, a group trying to legalize marijuana, is attempting to raise awareness for the November 3 ballot that would legalize marijuana for medical purposes and personal uses by adults ages 21 years old and above.

Nick Lachey, 42, who turned into a television actor from being a boy band star, is in hopes to legally bring a marijuana growing center to Hudson, where he currently resides.

Besides Lachey, there are still other four investors in the alleged 10 marijuana growing centers, one of which will be personally put up by the singer.

As for the ballot issue, reports say that it would limit cannabis from growing in various specific locations, including the Hudson Crossing Business Park, the location where Lachey is working on his planned investment, and in the West Main Street situated in Stark Country's Alliance.

ResponsibleOhio sees the move as something that would potentially generate an estimated $21.5 million from yearly tax revenues from the Summit County, its townships and municipalities.

The big push on the legalization of these marijuana growing centers have been gaining huge support from people, including Lachey, who believes that the proposed initiative will potentially provide the economic needs such as the possible increase of job opportunities within the state.

Just last week, ResponsibleOhio has handed a total of 695,273 signatures to the state's office. Although they were able to gather thousands of signatures and financial support, ResponsibleOhio also has to face their detractors on the run.

One group that is against the marijuana legalization campaign sent an issue to the ballot, prohibiting groups like ResponsibleOhio to make a 'monopoly, oligopoly or cartel', especially when it comes to selling and distributing a strictly controlled drugs, such as marijuanas.

Unfortunately, many of the pro-marijuana communities are also against ResponsibleOhio's proposal as they believe it would be bad for the whole state of Ohio, the marijuana users and to the supporters of the anti-monopoly measures.

Nick Lachey's net worth is currently at $20 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, and opening up a marijuana center may just grow.
