Rapper Lil Wayne Gets Kicked Off His Own Chartered Flight

Seventeen minutes flying out of Ft Lauderdale airport, the airplane chartered by Lil Wayne turned around and landed. The pilot kicked out his rap royalty passenger who lit a joint immediately after take-off, TMZ reports.

Earlier, before the chartered flight left ground, Lil Wayne asked permission from the pilot to smoke a joint onboard. The pilot denied their request. But looks like the Lil one couldn't be told no, and still insisted on lighting up.

Getting off, he gets his photo taken with him holding a sizzurp, a purple liquid, which is a codeine drink.  In 2012, he had a serious bout of seizure when he had this drink. But this was neither the first nor the last time.  Over the years of flying, there have been numerous emergency landings due to health reasons, mostly seizures. But his manager has always been quick to correct that the singer just had migraine and dehydration.

Talk about chartered planes, the rapper / sports agent / entrepreneur Lil Wayne was sued by Signature Group LLC of Miami in 2014 for unpaid chartered plane fees. The company has been serving the star and his Young Money Entertainment group since 2006, but they have unpaid fees from 2013 to 2014 amounting to over a million dollars.  Aside from the standard chartered fees, the group liked to have upgrades like satellite phones onboard, custom-made bed, even sophisticated medical equipment for who-knows-what.

Lil Wayne was born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.  In 1991, at age 9, he was part of the duo with another rapper, Lil Doogie, who is now known as B.G. Their platinum album was 'Guerilla Warfare' released in 1999.  Their biggest hit is the single, 'Bling Bling'. He ditched his partner and went solo, releasing another platinum album, 'The Block is Hot' in the same year.
