Peanut Butter Recall List 2012: Sunland Inc. Further Extends List, Now Including Raw and Roasted Peanuts

Once more, Sunland Inc.'s peanut butter recall list has been expanded, now not only including peanut butter and related products, but even raw and roasted shelled and in-shell peanuts. The recall list that started with a specific item at Trader Joe's that was related to salmonella illnesses in several states quickly grew to about one hundred products and was recently extended to 240 products.

"The extension being announced today is the result of the continued joint investigation by the Company and FDA," the Portales, New Mexico-based Sunland Inc. writes in their announcement. "The Company has ceased the production and distribution of all products from both its Peanut Butter Plant and its Peanut Processing Plant while FDA and the Company continue their investigation."
