'Law & Order' Director Arrested On Child Porn Charges

Law & Order director and producer Jason "Jace" Alexander was charged with two counts of felony involving child pornography on Wednesday.

According to Westchester County District Attorney, Janet DiFiore, Alexander of Dobbs Ferry, was accused "for possessing and file-sharing illegal and obscene performances of sexual conduct by children less than seventeen years of age," ET reports.

In a statement obtained by ET, DA's office stated, "A forensic examination of computers and external hard drives removed from the location revealed digital files of children who are less than sixteen years of age engaged in child pornography."

A warrant was issued and he was arrested after investigators found traces of downloaded child pornography dated July 24, showing the director's IP address.

According to New York Post, Alexander was accused of promoting vile video to Torrent network that includes a girl of about 12 or 13 years old.

The director is also accused of having a file of video that involves a 6- 8 years old girl masturbating, announced by Investigator Andrew Garcia of the DA's High Technology Crime Bureau.   

Alexander's bail was set at $10,000 and facing a maximum of seven years in prison. He is due to appear in court on Nov.19.

The prolific producer and director has directed more than 50 episodes for television. He is best known for crime, drama series 'Law and Order,' drama, comedy 'Rescue Me,' and 'Carry Me Home.' His recent projects were  Backstrom, Scorpion and Unforgettable.

Alexander is the son Robert Alexander, who is the founder and former director of The Living Stage and Jane Alexander, actress and former director of 'National Endowment for the Arts.'

Alexander married Maddie Corman on Sept.1998, who is an actress, she appeared in the movie in 'Maid in Manhattan' in 2002, Swingers in 1996 and Mickey Blue Eyes on 1999. They have three children.
