Lollapalooza In Chicago: Suspended After Reports of Thunderstorms out the Event into a Halt

The most awaited annual music festival was stopped when reports of thunderstorms would hit Chicago. Lollapalooza have been one of the most longest running music festival which started in 1991, it was created by Perry Farrel, the Jane's Addiction singer as a farewell tour for his band which ran annually until 1997, it was then revived in 2003 and an expansion was made into consideration for their 2004 event, Farrel then teamed up with big productions and the festival has been running annually up to now.

As per BBC Lollapalooza which was held in Chicago last July 29-31 which was attended by more than thousands of festival goers that were so psyched to see their favorite musicians but some were disappointed when the festival was stopped due to reports of thunderstorms, asking the festival goers to evacuate and go to one of the underground parking garages allotted as emergency evacuation shelters.

Some feedback regarding the evacuation were gathered, and good to know none of them were dismayed and fully understood the situation.

"It was totally orderly; I think everyone was trying to help each other. No one was pushing or anything." George Mavrakis (festival-goer)

The organizers then released a statement saying:

"for a short period, Lollapalooza officials are continuing to coordinate with the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications to monitor weather conditions and determine when the park is safe for festival-goers to return"
