It's a bit hard to say whether this young lady has completely won or failed with her Taco Bell graduation photos, but it's a fact that her senior high school photos became viral all over the world after she asked the photographer to take the snaps around Taco Bell.
Of course, a Taco Bell graduation isn't the way most people would want to celebrate reaching this important step in their education, but Missouri teen Brittany Creech wanted to do something special now that she's leaving high school, so she decided to take some of her senior photos in one of the Tex-Mex chain's restaurants.
The Taco Bell graduation idea came earlier, and 17 year-old Creech had already discussed this with some of her friends, although they surely thought she was kidding; in any case, she wanted to add something very original for her photos, opting out of the classic meadow or beach photos yearbooks are usually filled with to visit her favorite fast food instead.
"I took some classic senior photos outside in my Cardinal's jersey and in a black dress, but I thought it would be funny to also take some at Taco Bell, and the photographer was completely on board," Brittany told CNBC.
People Magazine reports that the Taco Bell graduation photos were taken by photographer Brendan Batchelor, who posted them on his Facebook page about a week before the teen did the same, which caused the pics to go viral, as at the time she started posting them she already had about 55,000 followers on Twitter and now has more than 61,000.
According to The Huffington Post, Brittany and Batchelor have received some heavy criticism over the Taco Bell graduation photos, as many say they're damaging a long-lasting tradition - but they say it's all in good fun with no harm intended.
