Robin Thicke's divorce was very public, as months after the split the singer went on to release an album entitled "Paula" as well as speaking in concert venues about wanting to get the "Precious" actress back in his life - now, with a new track and video featuring Nicki Minaj, things are back on track for the singer.
According to E! Online, the singer talked recently about Robin Thicke's divorce to Patton during an appearance on "Good Morning America" earlier this week, when he spoke to his namesake Robin Roberts about his new track, "Back Together," which he specified had nothing to do with Patton - in fact, he didn't even write the song himself.
"Actually I didn't write this song so I can't take credit for the meaning," the singer said, according to USA Today, speaking about Robin Thicke's divorce. "I just heard this idea of getting back together and getting yourself back together, and what I was going through at the time I really, really related to that and connected to it. It's more about the theme of getting yourself back together with love and partnership."
In the same interview, the "Lost Without U" singer also revealed who was the person who really helped him go through Robin Thicke's divorce: his son with Patton, Julian Fuego, as he helped him "gain perspective."
According to Music Times, Thicke was more demure about his current relationship to Geary, only saying he was "not off the market" because of someone who was "helpful and supportive" at the time of Robin Thicke's divorce - in any case, watch his new clip with Minaj below!
