New 'Gotham' Teaser Shows Jerome Turning Into Joker! [HEAR] Cameron Monaghan's Creepy Joker Laugh! [VIDEO]

The resident carnival orphan of 'Gotham' may well be on his way in his transformation into the Joker!

Jerome takes center stage in the new teaser for the second season of 'Gotham.' The TV spot, titled 'Villains Rising,' also shows a few of the new baddies who are set to appear in the new season, including Theo Galavan (James Frain) and his sister Tabitha (Jessica Lucas). However, the highlight of the teaser is Cameron Monaghan's manic Jerome suddenly bursting into eerie laughter and showing off that wide Joker grin.

The teaser starts off with James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) stating that, "It's a new day." However, the day seems to be tipped towards Theo Galavan, who announces that "Gotham would tremble." The trailer also shows Edward Nygma (Corey Michael Smith) going into a rage, but as Jerome says to the audience, "You ain't seen nothing yet!"

It also looks like Theo Galavan is acting as a mentor to the villains, telling Jerome, "The laugh is fabulous! Use that." The scene confirms a previous description of James Frain's character, who is hellbent on seeing Gotham City burn to the ground.

This is not the first time that Jerome Valeska sent chills down the viewers' spines with his creepy laugh. The snake dancer's son first appeared in the Season One episode 'The Blind Fortune Teller,' where he was accused of killing his mother by James Gordon. Jerome had simply laughed and admitted that he murdered his mother because she wouldn't stop nagging him.

Cameron Monaghan's performance in 'The Blind Fortune Teller' was well-received, and the young actor was called in to appear in more episodes in Season Two.

Cameron Monaghan has appeared in several TV shows including 'Malcolm in the Middle,' 'Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide' and 'Shameless.' His feature film credits include the Adam Sandler comedy 'Click,' the horror film 'Vampire Academy' and the film adaptation of the Lois Lowry novel 'The Giver.'

'Gotham' Season Two will premiere on Fox on September 21.
