Justin Timberlake to Star in Space Age Music Film for Oscar-winning Director Jonathan Demme

Justin Timberlake, teams up with Jonathan Demme for a concert film to showcase the former 'N SYNC member's 20/20 Experience World Tour.

The Oscar-winning director is set to edit the footage of the star's final 2 concerts last January 1 and 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, which the famous and talented director shot .

According to Rolling Stone, the 71 year old director thought Timberlake's performance in the concerts was emotional and exciting, "It's very emotional; very exciting." Demme also described Timberlake as a "funky Fred Astaire" in the said concerts.The director could barely contain his enthusiasm on what he referred to as "A space-age music film!"

"There's tremendous dancing in this piece. He's got an extraordinary band called the Tennessee Kids. Huge horn section, two lead guitars, two drummers, eight dancers, four exquisite background singers. And we caught them on their last performance." Demme added.

According to Variety, this movie is being independently financed with no distribution yet. However in 2007, Timberlake,the former 'N SYNC member did the filming and releasing of his FutureSex/Love Show: Live from Madison Square Garden Concert for HBO, as well and it is currently available on DVD and Blu-ray.

Jonathan Demme won an Academy Award for Silence of the Lambs and is well known for putting rock concerts on the big screen. He pioneered the genre with the 1984 Talking Heads concert film , Stop Making Sense. He is considered a visionary in the industry.

He has partnered with the likes of Neil Young, for a music trilogy. Bruce Springsteen for music videos with New Order. His most recent project has been with Meryl Streep , where she had to learn to strum the guitar for Rick And The Flash.

Timberlake's 20/20 Experience double album was released in 2013. It was directed by David Fincher, also the director for his first single, Suit&Tie. They previously worked on The Social Network.
