Britney Spears, Anderson Cooper to Fight Bullying with 'The Bully Effect'

Britney Spears will be joining Anderson Cooper's anti bullying movement. Last night, Anderson Cooper's AC360° aired The Bully Effect, an update to controversial documentary, Bully. The Bully Effect reintroduced the students that were victims of bullying along with their families. It gave audience members a new insight to what is currently happening in their lives.

According to Eonline, the pop singer tweeted, "I'm standing with @AC360 & @bullymovie by joining the movement to end bullying in our generation!" Spears is no stranger to being bullied. Throughout her high profile career, she has been a constant target of the media and the paparazzi. She has been scrutinized for her weight, lack of parenting skills and rehab stints. For a while she was every photographer's dream because she was seen a total train wreck.

Even though Spears experienced a number of down falls in her career, she managed to get back on top. She is currently in the studio recording a new album, is a judge on The X Factor and managed to obtain a pop career that has spun well over 15 years! How many "pop", singers can say their career has lasted almost two decades"? Not too many; most of them lose their spark after a couple of years in the spotlight.

Spears will be a great candidate in the Anderson Cooper anti bullying campaign. She has a huge following and support system. She currently has 24,000,000 Twitter followers along with 24,000,000 Facebook fans. She is one of those stars that will continue to shine despite her public mistakes. Anything she touches turns to gold. The younger generation looks up to names like Spears; the fact that she can relate to what victims of bullying go through makes her the perfect asset to the campaign. It will be interesting to see what Spears will contribute to the campaign; our readers will be kept posted.
