A new study conducted by the online food delivery service, GrubHub, found what college students mostly order. College students are not known to follow a healthy eating habit especially they view cooking as very tasking and time consuming. This is the main reason why take out service is a popular solution to this particular age group. However you would be surprised with what GrubHub found out.
Over 18 percent of Americans order takeout food at least once a week according to USA Today. Online food delivery service such as GrubHub took advantage of this trend to provide convenient ways to order takeout with the use of your phone. Now GrubHub recently analyzed data collected from more than 100 colleges by tracking orders placed from an .edu email address. They hope to know the difference between orders made by students and non students.
The results show that most college students prefer to order food late at night and as mentioned they often choose less healthy food options. Not surprisingly, they are not generous tippers according to the results reported by Bustle. They are also found to be 10 percent less likely to use 'please' and 'thank you' in placing orders and 20 percent less likely to call customer service.
Finally, here are the top ten orders placed by college students according to GrubHub and number one is really surprising:
1. Frozen Yogurt - Students are 162 percent more likely to order this food than the general population.

2. Waffle Fries - these are not definitely healthy but 160 percent show that students are more likely to order this stuff.

3. Chicken Souvlaki Pita - Middle Eastern cuisine ranks third.
4. Chocolate Chip Brownies – Results show that students are 137 percent to order this decadent dessert.
5. Hibachi Chicken – This savoury chicken dish are 91 percent more likely to be ordered by college students.
6. Vegetarian Spring Roll – This may brought about by the increase of vegan students.
7. Sweet and Sour Chicken – This Asian chicken dish is 110 percent likely to be ordered by college students compared to non-college ones.
