Simon Cowell Is Securing Adele and Sam Smith for X Factor Live Shows

Music and television producer Simon Cowell is doing all he can to make sure that the British singer and songwriter Adele and the Stay With Me hit maker Sam Smith join the upcoming X Factor live shows.

Reportedly, Simon Cowell as the head judge and boss of ITV (a commercial TV network in the United Kingdom) is firm on his decision to convince the singer Adele to make her come back on the show rather than to X Factor's number one rival, the 'Strictly Come Dancing' (professional dancers competing in a ballroom dancing competition).

Despite Cowell doing a high-profile revamp on The X Factor by adding British singer and actress - Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw to the judging panel, reports confirmed that Strictly Come Dancing did a lot better in terms of ratings than X Factor during the last season.

An X Factor insider stated that, "Simon knows how big a ratings hit landing Adele's big comeback and Sam's first performance of the Bond theme will be." The insider added, "they are the two biggest singing stars on the planet at the moment and he's told his team to do whatever they must to make sure Strictly doesn't get them."

Aside from Adele and Sam Smith, Simon Cowell is also 'determined' to have on board big names like Rihanna, Ellie Goulding as well as the return of American singer, songwriter, and actress Janet Jackson for the show.

The X Factor production asserted that judge Rita Ora and host Olly Murs will also have a performance during the live shows.

As part of the X Factor's preparation for the live shows, Simon Cowell confirmed that One Direction and Little Mix will have an appearance. After all, The X Factor is where the English-Irish pop boy band started their careers.
