The New York born Eisenberg stated, "In many ways, Lex Luthor is greater of a stretch than any character you would do in an independent film, which is usually the place you stretch," the actor added, "So in that way it was not at all compromised. If anything it was the most excellent, most advantageous character I've ever been given."

Jesse Eisenberg continued by expressing his total admiration for the work of the American film director and screenwriter Chris Terrio ( who highlighted his career in 2012 - Argo). He said that a mojor factor in making his Lex Luthor character successful was the fact that the screenwriter is Chris Terrio.

He went on to say that since the background of Chris Terrio is not in comic books, he was coming at it from his emotion and the story created this really marvelous character, who is not only enigmatic but emotionally honest as well.

He further added that Chris Terrio intelligently ties these really exciting superhero elements developed to a high degree of complexity with philosophical themes in a much smarter and different style.
