Goldie Hawn Thrilled to be a Grandma for the Fifth Time

Goldie Hawn is a grandmother once again. 

The actress became a grandmother for the fifth time this week. Hawn could not contain her excitement for the arrival of her first granddaughter, so tweeted in celebration. 

"Welcome Rio! Our first baby girl to join our family! @theolliverhudson and Erinn thank you for bringing so much JOY to our lives! #happiness," the 67-year-old wrote. 

Her son, Oliver Hudson and his wife Erinn Bartlett welcomed baby girl, Rio. This is the actor's third child with his wife. Oliver who stars on "Rules of Engagement," is the older brother to actress Katie Hudson, who announced her brother was having a baby girl earlier this year during an interview on the "Late Show with David Letterman."

The actor and his wife wed in 2006, in a Buddhist ceremony in Mexico. They have two boys, 5-year-old Wilder and 3-year-old Bodhi, together. Their children's names reflect the religious sentiment that they share with their family. 

The "First Wives Club" actress is known to defied the laws of aging. The day before her granddaughter was born, Hawn was photographed, showing off her fit figure in skin-tight workout gear. 

Hawn, who is mother of three adult children, has been in a serious relationship with actor Kurt Russell. The couple have now been together for 20 years. 
Hawn's last acting gig was 2002's "The Banger Sisters." The actress puts most of her effort into The Hawn Foundation, which she created to teach the Buddhist technique of mindfulness's to children.
