Munchies Overload: Stoner Calls Cops for Drowning in Doritos and Chips Ahoy

How high is too high? This is one of the most asked questions that stoners would often ask during a smoking spree. But one guy made the headlines as he called the cops for help. As per People, one individual in his early twenties called Austintown Ohio 911 for being too high.

Upon arriving in the scene, the police found the 22 year old lying on a fatal position asking for help, as per the police respondents, "he was surrounded by a plethora of Doritos, Pepperidge Farm Goldfish and Chips Ahoy "

During his 911 call, he informed the 911 officer that he could no longer feel his hands for smoking too much weed. He then told the cops that he smoked and got high inside his car. He then gave the officers permission to recover the evidence inside the crime scene [which is his car].

Upon inspection, the police found a glass pipe with pot resins, two joint stubs, two packs of rolling paper and a container of marijuana inside his car. The man has not been charged as the investigation is still classified as ongoing.

The Food Beast posted the 911 call on their website:

It seems that the man only had a serious case of munchies for smoking too much weed. As per The Guardian, cannabinoids would signal the brain cells and that would suppress the smokers appetite in which a serious case of starvation known as the munchies would occur.

Additional studies from Japanese researchers then emerged revealing that cannabis interacts with taste receptors. It enhances the sweet taste in food boosting certain cravings. Their research on mice also revealed that those who were given THC, one of pot's active ingredients has better sense of smell enhanced but the chemical, and it also has an overactive "reward system" which further explain the gratifying feeling for eating food when high.
