Seth Green Speaks Out About Possible Howard The Duck Film! Will It Be A 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Spinoff Movie? [VIDEO]

The 2014 Marvel flick 'Guardians of the Galaxy' was definitely filled with several Easter Eggs and cameos, but everybody's favorite appearance was saved for last when Howard the Duck was revealed to be one of the Collector's precious items.

The short cameo has immediately led to speculations that a new Howard the Duck film is in the works, fueled by Marvel Studios' recent NYCC announcement that there are three more untitled movies that will be made.

IGN caught up with Seth Green, who provided the voice of the ill-tempered Quack-Fu master in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and asked whether there would be a Howard the Duck film in the future.

"Nobody has said anything to me about that," Green responded before clarifying that his voiceover cameo was just a favor for director James Gunn.

"The truth is, Gunn and I are buddies from 'Scooby-Doo.' So, the whole 'Howard the Duck' thing, and me getting to be that, was a last minute, 'Who do I know who is in town who can do this VO on this date before the color print delivers?' Nobody is thinking about a 'Howard the Duck' movie. I love that people are running with it. But you know, it's not going to happen."

But don't lose hope yet. Seth Green also addressed the possibility that Howard the Duck could make an appearance in a 'Guardians of the Galaxy' spinoff film.

"The most I can imagine, and you can't quote me, because it's not based in fact, but the most I can imagine is that the character could cameo at some point in some other thing," he said, pointing out the appearance of another Marvel character in 'Guardians of the Galaxy.'

"Like, we saw Cosmo [the Spacedog] already," Green added. "So there is going to be some kind of Rocket [Raccoon] offshoot, right? There's gonna be some kind of outer galactic mayhem. You can imagine that Howard would cameo in that. But he'll never have a standalone movie again."

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' is scheduled for release on May 5, 2017.
