Kendall Jenner is one of the main faces of the Balmain H&M campaign, where she shows off the highly-anticipated looks in the sexy shoot. The 19-year-old model of the moment proves she’s more than just a pretty face as she flaunts her amazing dance moves in a fun, behind-the-scenes video from the shoot.
The diffusion collection doesn't launch until November 5, but hype is already high for the limited-time run, and Yahoo Style has shared a behind-the-scenes video of Kendall and designer Olivier Rousteing working on the stunning campaign – while still finding some time to goof around for the cameras.
In a first look of the clip, obtained by Yahoo! Style, Jenner is seen modeling the collection, described by Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing as “really rich and strong” clothing that’s “putting the couture in the stores.” The campaign video, shot by Johan Sandberg & Henrik Timonen, creates a sci-fi metro scene reminiscent of Michael Jackson’s “Bad” music video.
The site also spoke to the the 30-year-old designer, who didn't hold back when it came to gushing about his 19-year-old model muse
"Kendall had a lot of fun," Olivier said. "It was a new experience for her. We had the best time. It was new for both of us. But more importantly, the campaign has to reflect the Balmain Army and for me, she is the most important."
"She is an icon. I’m inspired by her. For me she is the new Naomi, Claudia, Cindy. You know the type of models where people want to be her... She’s just amazing and inspires an entire generation. I love that she’s global, and loves music, dancing, she’s the Balmain girl," he continued.
The 'Balmain girl' certainly shows off her love of music in a newly-released behind-the-scenes clip, which shows her and Olivier filming a video spot for Balmain x H&M. Jenner joins a variety of dances, “a great mix of different people from all over the world,” according to Rousteing, as she learns to whip, twerk and even vogues!
The H&M x Balmain launches November 5th, with a runway debut set for Oct. 20 in N.Y.C.. The attainable collection includes items that incorporate the elements of the covetable high-fashion label.
