Foo Fighters Cesena: Dave Grohl Announces Concert In Italian Town That Made You Cry With ‘Learn To Fly’ [VIDEO]

A few months back, the world became enchanted when 1,000 Foo Fighters fans in the small Italian city of Cesena got together to play the band's hit "Learn To Fly," something that humbled frontman and rock and roll legend Dave Grohl, promising they'd play a show there - and now, the Foo Fighters Cesena concert date has been officially set!

Eyes watered around the world with a whole town getting together to rock out to one of the band's most iconic songs just to ask for a Foo Fighters Cesena concert, which of course they got, Grohl being the cool guy he is.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Grohl took to the band's Facebook page and official website to officially announce the Foo Fighters Cesena gig a couple of months after the video went viral, as he said they would be landing on the Italian city on November 3 and playing at the Carisport.

"To see so many people put so much time, and effort, and love into making music moved me to tears," wrote Grohl before announcing Foo Fighters' Cesena date. "And the fact that it was a Foo Fighters song...well...it's hard to put into words how humbled that made me feel. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful experiences of my entire life."

The Nirvana rocker added that he was "looking forward to a once in a lifetime show" during Foo Fighters' Cesena time.

Interestingly enough, the Cesena concert will actually be the start of the whole wing of their European tour, which will finish in Barcelona on November 19.

International Business Times reports that Fabio Zaffagani, the man behind the genius project that took one year to organize, got to meet the members of the band last August at the Washington Park Community Center, and he recently said that he "cried like a baby" when hearing Grohl's original response to the clip, where he addressed the city in their native Italian to say they would definitely perform there.
