Wall Street Journal Employee Finds Dead Forg in Her Salad (PHOTO)

It's never fun when you find an unwanted intruder in your food and that is exactly what happened to a Wall Street Journal employee, during her lunch time break.

According to the Journal, Ellen Roggemann, found a two-inch green and brown dead frog hidden inside her lettuce salad from Pret A Manger.

Roggemann, who works as a Vice President of brand marketing, said she consulted with co-workers to verity what she saw. The employee stated that Pret A Manger's goal is to sell " homemade natural food" and that could be the reason behind a dead animal in her food.

"We don't use any pesticides with our green and they go through multiple washing cycles," Roggemann said. "An unfortunate piece of organic matter has made its way through."

The Journal reported that Roggemann was given a refund and a free lunch voucher for the eatery located on 6th Ave between 47th and 48th street in New York; across from the company's office. The store's manager apologized to Roggemann for the incident.

"We are so regretful that this happened," Roggemann told the Journal.

According to the Journal, Pret A Manger made the following statement:

"At Pret A Manger, we take issues like this very seriously. Our lettuce is sourced from farms that do not use any pesticides on its produce, therefore organic matter does very rarely manage to pass through our production process. We are currently looking into this issue to make every effort that this does not happen again."
