Jennifer Lawrence A Rare Hollywood Heroine, in Last Chapter of 'Hunger Games'

Jennifer Lawrence is saying goodbye to "The Hunger Games" the movie franchise that paved the way for her stardom and a rare Hollywood action heroine.

In a press conference held at Four Seasons hotel on Saturday, Lawrence was asked by the reporters to share about her final moments as Katniss Everdeen.

"I feel that I had two endings with Katniss. One when we wrapped the film in Berlin and that was kind of saying goodbye to the movie and then I had a moment with my nephews about a year later," she explained. "They played my children in the scene that we shot so it was an amazing closure to this character that I've loved for so many years to have my family there, my blood family, I got to say goodbye to both."

The Hunger Games series is adapted from the novel of Suzanne Collins. It tells the story of the heroine, Katniss Everdeen's battle to survive in a reality TV-style life-and-death game in a dystopian post-apocalyptic state. In last year's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1," Katniss became the symbol of a revolution, while fighting for her life.

In the second installment, she tries to lead the rebellion against the totalitarian government of District 13.

With the success of the franchise, Lawrence couldn't help but be proud of the character she was able to portray.

"I feel the impact of being part of such a huge movie that has meant so much for so many people," she shared. "This character is overwhelmingly supportive of women, obviously, and this iconic, I don't feel a personal impact, I think if you ever become aware of that it takes away from that a little bit, it's the movie, and the characters...it's kind of like your avatar self."

But she also noted that it took her a great deal of time to adapt to her new life when she rose into popularity because of Hunger Games.

"There were a few years of getting used to it, your entire world changes...I have a new normal now, I feel very stable and normal and happy," Lawrence said. "But the pressure... you just can't think about it."

The franchise has been well loved by fans all over the world, since the movie came out in 2012, giving it a billion dollar mark at the box office.
