Boston Bombing Survivor Shows her Love and Support for Paris after the Attack

People around the world have joined France in grieving for the thousands of lived that was lost in the horrific bombing last Friday, November 13. From candles on the streets of Paris to displaying the colors of the French flag on important landmarks of different countries, these are the simple yet heartwarming way our support for the country.

In Boston, however, one survivor of the equally gruesome 2013 Boston Marathon bombing offered her comfort by posting a simple and colorful, yet very meaningful message for the victims.

Jane Richard, 9 years old who lost a leg and her brother, Martin in the Boston Marathon bombing, offered her words of comfort to those people who suffered this hideous attack. Jane continues to be an unimaginable source of inspiration to everybody. According to her parents, losing her leg did not slow her down or intimidated her in anyway. She received her prosthesis last 2013 and has continued to live normally.

Martin, on the other hand, was the youngest person killed in the Boston bombing. Not long after the event, a picture of him holding a sign that said, "No more hurting people, Peace," spread all over the internet. On Saturday, it was Jane's picture's turn to heat up the internet.

"Arretez de faire du mal aux autres. La Paix."a French translation of the message her brother wrote was a simple statement written in colorful words that became a viral message on the Martin Richard Foundation's Facebook page. Jane's message on Saturday has become one of just the thousands of support pouring for the city from around the world.

 It was her simple way of showing her support for the country. This simple, yet powerful message echoed with strangers around the world across the internet, getting over 2,000 likes and shared by more than 1,500 people as of the moment.
