The former American Idol champion relished in a precious moment of her first baby, River Rose Blackstock, mid-faux meditation on Thanksgiving day. The 1-year-old tot looked especially precious, dressed up in a bitty pink floral blouse with her chubby hands and fingers coincidentally posed in the shape of a heart.
"I'm so thankful for my amazing family & friends!! Especially this little nugget :) River can't be bothered right now. She's meditating. #sheistotallythinkingaboutfood HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!! :)" the pregnant momma captioned the shot on her Instagram account.
While fans anxiously await the arrival of Clarkson's second child, the singer announced she was expecting a boy in October, fans can't help but gush over the Grammy winner's first bundle of joy, who gets more adorable every time fans catches a glimpse of her.
In addition to her Turkey Day meditation session, the soon-to-be big sister recently starred in her mother's black and white music video for "Piece by Piece" off her seventh studio album.
"I had (my daughter) and even from holding her the first day, I was like, 'How could anyone walk away from that?'" Clarkson told Glamour of her inspiration for the track. "Then I started thinking that my husband (Brandon Blackstock) is such a great father. He's not an audience guy, he is onstage doing the work with me. He changes diapers, he stays up, and if I've had a late night, he'll wake up with her in the morning...We're definite partners, and I felt so lucky."
The American Idol alum is having a rough time with her pregnancy and admitted during an interview with CBS This Morning on Nov. 18 that she suffers from "all-day sickness." "I have to get IVs and fluids because I get so dehydrated," she admitted. "It's really bad."
Way back in December 2012, Clarkson announced her engagement to Brandon Blackstock, her boyfriend of one year, on Twitter. Clarkson and Blackstock tied the knot the following October 2013. The couple wed at Blackberry Farms in Tennessee on October 20th. Exactly one month later, on November 20, 2013, Clarkson used her Twitter account yet again to release breaking news about her personal life. She announced that she was expecting her first child with husband Blackstock. "I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever :)," she wrote.
