'Everglow' Song, Gwyneth Paltrow Wrote Lyrics to Chris Martin's Single

Everybody is gushing over the new 'Everglow' song collaboration between Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow.

What you don't know is, not only was their relationship an inspiration to the song, Gwyneth wrote the lyrics herself.

"It was her idea," Chris Martin said. Martin revealed that it was all Gwyneth's idea when talking about the lyrics which she sings on Coldplay's new album.

In an interview, Martin explained that the idea behind the song came from the couple's conscious uncoupling after 10 years of being together. They ended their relationship in March last year. He focused on what Paltrow told him at that time - "How come things move on? How come cars don't slow?"

Inspired by that line, he also asked his former love to sing the line. "Is there any chance you'd sing that line 'coz it's your idea?" She was reluctant to record her voice at first, citing she's not a professional (singer).

Can you hear the awkward sighs of exes right now? This kind of collaboration between the two exes makes the rest of us look bad but definitely we should learn from this example, right? The couple continues to remain friends, makes beautiful music together and spends time with their family and kids.

Paltrow's voice is described as imperceptible and that she's omnipresent.

Here's a snippet of the lyrics: "Well they say people come,Say people go, This particular diamond, Is extra special, And though you might be gone, And the world may not know, Still I see you're celestial."

Doesn't that sound cheesy but dramatic in a way that describes their relationship together?

'Everglow' debuted on Zane Lowe's radio show and Martin reveals that everybody that worked on the album played an important part in their lives.

The couple is currently dating other people. Chris Martin is seen with Annabelle Wallis and Paltrow is connected with produced Brad Falchuk.
