If you haven't seen the latest episode of The Flash then this is an obilgatory SPOILER ALERT! It turns out that the Jitters Barista is not just an ordinary face for the season. She is in fact, THE Hawkgirl.
Of course you'd think you know that already, after several "vibes" Cisco "received" from dating Kendra. But do you know the history behind her wings? Well, this big bad wolf that's trying to kill Kendra is an immortal called Vandal Savage and his sole mission is to kill the priestess in order to become stronger. And the priestess in question was Kendra in her past life.
So, what does this have to do with the Green Arrow? The Flash and the team can't take on a guy with magical powers and they don't have a lot of choice but consult with someone who has an idea of what they're getting into. They travel to Star City and ask for Green Arrow's help. Everybody's masks are off and everybody now knows everybody - and that includes Malcolm Merlyn, even. Everyone is talking about it.
Before the last few minutes of the latest episode ended, we see The Green Arrow, played by Stephen Amell, and The Flash, played by Grant Gustin, head back to Central City to defeat (or try to) Vandal Savage by getting to the Eye of Horus first - an all-powerful artifact that was the reason why Kendra was drawn to the city in the first place. While all this is happening, Kendra is being told by the love of her life (Hawkman) that she must emerge soon in order to defeat the immortal.
Kendra eventually was able to spread her wings but It was too late though. Vandal escapes with the Eye.
Part 1 is over and we head over to Part 2. Nobody can wait to see how Team Arrow, Team Flash .. and okay.. Team Merlyn defeat the Rasputin looking villain. During Part 2 of the Arrow-Flash cross-over, titled "Legends of Yesterday", Malcom Merlyn sets a meeting between the good guys and the bad guys and sure enough, it doesn't turn out that well.
Vandal Savage only has one thing set on his mind. Either he kills Hawkman and Hawkgirl, or he kills the rest in order to get them.
