McDonald’s Bring Back Shamrock Shakes

McDonald's have finally decided to bring back the much-awaited drink, Shamrock Shakes, in the market.

The minty, creamy, ice confections have definitely been popular and have been spotted in several stores around the country.

Just as Pumpkin Spice Lattes mark the beginning fall, Shamrock Shakes mark the (almost) beginning of spring. The drink is so beloved that Burger King launched a knock-off version of their own this year: the Oreo Irish Mint Shake.

The basic difference between Burger King's Irish Mint Shake and the Shamrock Shake of McDonald's is perhaps the Oreo crumbs making it more delicious according to some.

Although according to Burger King's president, it is mintier and will allow the visitors to cool off after having the spicy chicken fries like Jalapeño Chicken Fries.

"Our guests can't get enough of our spicy menu items not to mention our Chicken Fries so we're giving them more of both with this new addition to our Chicken Fries lineup," Alex Macedo, Burger King's president for North America, said in a statement. "And if our Jalapeño Chicken Fries get a little too hot, our Dr Pepper Shake or Oreo Irish Mint Shake is the perfect way to cool off."

Although some of the stores have served the drink as early as February 10, the Shamrock Shack will be available until March 17, Thursday (St Patrick's Day) or until the supplies run out, according to People Magazine.

So, for those shake enthusiastic who wanted to give the Shamrock Shakes and the Irish Mint Shake a try side by side, or enjoy the flavors of both multiple times to heart's desire, this might be the perfect opportunity for you. Who knows when the stocks run out and you miss this delicious treat, which you were perhaps dying to have?
