Jennie may seem frustrated with how her Dalgona coffee went, but her fans quickly showed support and comfort to her.

This was not her first try to explore her culinary skills. According to SCMP, Jennie is a confident cook and regarded as the domestic goddess among the BlackPink members.

In a vlog post, she shared that one of her regular meals is avocado on rice mixed with salted pollock fish roe, where she even shared how to prepare the dish.

She is also often leading her bandmates in cooking sessions, like creating baked goodies such as two-toned black and white macaroons.

In an interview with Vogue Korea, Jennie revealed that she's been interested in cooking and thinking about taking professional cooking lessons.

It is no surprise that she is eager to try and explore recipes such as making Dalgona coffee even if she failed the first time. With constant practice, she will most likely succeed the next time.

Dalgona Coffee

For those who would also like to try creating Dalgona coffee like Jennie, the recipe is simple, and the process is straightforward. All that is required are two tablespoons of instant coffee, two tablespoons of granulated sugar, and one cup of whole milk for the ingredients.

As for the process, start by combining the instant coffee, sugar, and two tablespoons of hot water in a small mixing bowl. Beat your mixture for about 5 minutes using a hand mixer, or until the color changes to a golden brown.

You will also notice that it will have a thick consistency, which will indicate it's ready. Next, pour the milk into a tall glass with a few ice cubes. Finish the drink by topping your glass of milk with the mixture using a spatula.

Dalgona coffee made a buzz in Korea back in March while everybody was forced to stay indoors due to the lockdown measures. Everyone took to social media to showcase their talent in making Dalgona coffee, which caused it to trend.

Originally, this drink is known as whipped coffee in places like India, Pakistan, and Macao. However, it was given a nickname in South Korea because it tastes like the retro toffee-like candy dalgona.

At present, there are many videos of the recipe that are still trending and have surpassed millions of views.
