Demi Lovato Update: Talks About Why She And Miley Cyrus Did Not Remain Friends

Singer Demi Lovato has talked at a radio show about why she and former co-star and co-singer Miley Cyrus are no longer friends.

The two both started by scoring Disney Channel shows namely Camp Rock, for Lovato, and Hanna Montana, for Cyrus. They were friends back then however, Lovato pressed that she is no longer interested in being close with the "Wrecking Ball" singer.

The star has talked at "The TJ Show" on 103.3 AMP Radio base in Boston last Monday and Lovato was asked about her current relationship with the pop star. Lovato said: Um...yeah...that, um...we're, we're like... We're acquaintances."

She added that she and Cyrus have nothing in common anymore but wished her the best in life. However, despite their relationship as of the moment and how it has turned out to be over the years, Lovato had nothing but kind words for Cyrus.

She once sad in an interview the following statement: "Miley has been one of my best friends growing up and so I'm happy for her." The star was interviewed back in 2013 at the Everyday show of Fox 31. She added that Cyrus is doing what she wants to do and it is time for her to break out and figure things out on her own.

Lovato added, "what she wants to do in her career and her image and everything...I'm happy seeing her happy because I love her so much. And, you know, she doesn't care what people think, nor should she."

However, an insider said that Lovato made a point of not surrounding herself with people who party too much and that her sobriety is such an important thing for her. The source adds, "Demi tries to be reserved in public and cares very much about how she is perceived."

Cyrus is not the first Disney channel star that Lovato cut her ties with as she also confirmed back in 2014 that she is no longer friend with another singer Selena Gomez. Lovato said, "I think it's just one of those things where people change and people grow apart."
