One Guy Grew and Made All Ingredients and Created an Entire Sandwich from Scratch

A sandwich is one of the easiest foods one person can create. It's flexible when it comes to the ingredients it needs; it has numerous varieties, and several ways to make it. But this one guy pushed the envelope when it came to making his sandwich, he created it from scratch, and when he meant from scratch, all the ingredients were grown and made by him.

The process of making the sandwich took Andy George six months to make, and a budget of $1,500. That makes that sandwich one of the most expensive and one of the sandwiches that's the longest to make. He started with breaking down the entire ingredients he needed. That meant he had to make bread, curd cheese, grow the vegetables needed, as well as find a way to get meat.

There were other numerous ingredients he added to his sandwich like pickled pickles, honey, salt, and all of that George had to gather from scratch. For honey, he had to go to a bee farm and collect the honey himself, and when it came to the salt needed, he even flew off to another city, took a gallon of salt water, heat it up till all sea water was evaporated, leaving fresh salt in the pot. For the milk and butter, he learned how to milk a cow and processed it himself. He even harvested his own wheat.

According to Andy George's Twitter account profile description, @HTMeverything, "To understand the complex process of making simple products that are often taken for granted, Andy George travels the world to learn how to make everything." The HTM stand for How To Make, so basically he aims to understand the principle of how the simplest things in life are actually more complicated than what they seem at first. The story
