'Rainbow Six Siege' Beta Finally Open After Slight Delay

Gamers eager to get their hands on Rainbow Six Siege can finally try out the open beta after its launch was postponed.

Originally set to go live across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 25 at 10 AM EST, the open beta test was pushed back by Ubisoft after certain 'issues' were discovered.

"We're currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms. As such, we're postponing the open beta until a later time and keeping the game under closed beta status. We apologize for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements." Said the developer.

Most of the issues seemed to stem from matchmaking and connection problems.

Now a day later, it looks they've sorted most of the issues and have opened the beta to all players.

"We are happy to confirm we will be launching the Rainbow Six Siege open beta at 12pm EST.

We want to thank everyone who is participating in this beta. Your feedback helps us improve. For everyone who hasn't been able to play as yet, we apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

We are proud of what Rainbow Six Siege has to offer and we wish you the greatest experience possible."

Said the Ubisoft community manager in a forum post.

The beta will still end on the previously announced date of November 29. Given the game's official release date of December 1, it's unclear whether the beta can be extended to accommodate for the lost time.

The Siege open beta comes with a sizeable amount of content, including playable 14 operators, three maps, and three game modes.

Go out there and try it while you can.
