'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Finally Here! Lucasfilm President Believes The Force Guided Them

The 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' is finally here. The highly anticipated film made its premiere on Monday and the fans including the casts can't help to feel the excitement.

The premiere night of the seventh installment in the Stars Wars film series was filled with emotions. The casts of the film had a carpet reunion as Harrison Ford, Billy Dee Williams and the other actors hang out with each other.

One of the main events of the night was the emotional speech of Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm who spoke to the crowd before the movie began in the Dolby Theatre. Kennedy expressed how thankful she was for their success in filming the movie.

"I can't believe we're here! It's a real privilege to make movies and everyone involved in The Force Awakens knows how lucky we've been to carry forward this incredible legacy that George [Lucas] began almost 40 years ago," Kennedy stated.

The Lucasfilm president then narrated a story about George Lucas and how he became successful. According to Kathleen Kennedy, Lucas was 18-year-old when he got into an accident after drag-racing his car. The filmmaker was almost killed by the accident. After 15 years, Kennedy had the chance to work with Lucas and his pal Steven Spielberg.

Then Kathleen was offered by George to be the head of Lucasfilm and create new Star Wars films. In choosing who will direct the film, J.J. Abrams was the first option of the president considering his love for Star Wars and respect for Lucas. She also considers Abrams as a great talent.

After a few years, they all got the chance to work together for a huge project. Kennedy believes that it's not just fate and destiny that brought them together for the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens.'

"Is it the Force? I think so. If I'm right, then tonight, may the Force be with us all," said Kennedy.
