Faye Grant Stephen Collins: ‘7th Heaven’ Controversial Dad Finally Divorces Wife

Although they have been in divorce proceedings since 2012 in one of the nastiest separations Hollywood has seen for a while, Faye Grant and Stephen Collins have actually made news in the last few months for something else altogether, after an audio tape of the actor confessing to child molestation came out last fall.

Following a very messy and unpleasant divorce where both of them said a lot of unpleasant things in court about each other, Faye Grand and Stephen Collins have officially ended their legal separation proceedings, ultimately allowing a public trial that could've made things even worse for Collins' current situation.

According to The New York Daily News, Faye Grant and Stephen Collins have finally settled for divorce following almost three years of battling in court and the leaking of the audio that got all of Collins' current contracts broken.

Last October, an audiotape of Collins speaking to his therapy about having molested three underage girls came out to the public. While the actor blamed estranged wife Grant for this, she vehemently denied having been involved in the tape being made public.

In any case, according to People Magazine, Faye Grant and Stephen Collins settled in court for an agreement that included a 50/50 split of the sale of their Brentwood homes, plus the fact that neither party will be giving the other spousal support, after Grant had demanded it by stating that she hadn't worked for years after the birth of their daughter and that nobody would be hiring the actress now, when Collins was working in jobs like a small role in the show "Scandal."

Of course, as Just Jared reports, following the child molestation scandal, Collins lost all his current contracts and isn't working at the moment, particularly after he confessed last December that the allegations were true.

In any case, the settlement came as lawyers rushed to get Faye Grant and Stephen Collins to settle out of court, as they were supposed to go to public trial on February 9.
