Lindsay Lohan Community Service: ‘Mean Girl’ Back In Court, Cheating On Community Service?

In the last few months, it seemed like the troubled former child star had finally put her past issues with drugs, partying and court rooms behind her - perhaps the world was judging too quickly, as Lindsay Lohan's community service has gotten the actress and singer into court, under the suspicion of foul play when paying her hours.

Following her many issues with the law due to her years of heavy partying, alcohol and drug consumption, Lindsay Lohan's community service was the next obvious choice after she was last convicted for her behavior; now, her lawyers have handed in her papers and there may be issues with the court.

According to Time Magazine, Lindsay Lohan's community service hours counted some odd things that may not bode well in court - most notoriously, it seems like she awarded service hours to herself because she allowed fans to approach her and talked to them, which the judge evidently didn't very much agree with.

Reuters reports that Lindsay Lohan's community service came under the scope last Wednesday, when a Los Angeles judge gave the case's prosecutor longer to investigate further about the actress' court-ordered hours, which she says finished up under schedule, after being convicted for driving under the influence.

As the Irish Examiner reports, the issue came as Lohan counted a meet-and-greet with fans on her latest London West End play, David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow," as community service. Her lawyer, Shawn Holley, presented the paperwork about the fulfillment of Lohan's latest community service from a 2012 criminal case on reckless driving, when she was asked to do 80 hours, which she completed in nine days.

However, Terry White, the Santa Monica Chief Deputy Attorney, was full of doubt in regards of the legality of the terms once he read the paperwork. He was given until February 18 to verify Lohan's hours, though the prosecutor himself told Judge Stone that it wasn't his job to do this.

If Lindsay Lohan's community service hours were tampered, she could be facing jail time once again.
