Sean Penn Interview Charlize Theron: ‘Milk’ Actor SHOCKED To Be In Love!

Known for his amazing talent in front of the screen as well as for having been in relationships with some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, the latest Sean Penn interview on Charlize Theron shows a side of the two-time Oscar-winning actor that the world had never seen: opening up about who seems to be the love of his life.

Ever since he first came to prominence in the 80s and was in the middle of a widely publicized and conflictive relationship with pop icon Madonna, the actor has been known for keeping his personal life as far away from his public persona as he possibly can, which is the reason Sean Penn's interview on Charlize Theron caught the world by surprise.

According to The Daily Mail, Sean Penn's interview on Charlize Theron shows the actor as shocked as everyone else: he didn't think he'd ever fall in love again, after a series of failed relationships throughout his life, including being engaged to "Downton Abbey" star Elizabeth McGovern in the 80s, a supposed fling with Lindsay Lohan a few years ago and his marriages to Madonna and "House of Cards" star Robin Wright.

Esquire was the magazine who published the rare Sean Penn interview on Charlize Theron, where he spoke about the fact that he was surprised to find himself in love past his 50s, as he marvels in the kindness of his new partner - whom he's supposed to marry soon.

"Yeah, I'm surprised to be in love," Penn said, according to The Spec. "53 years old plus finally beginning to figure out why you haven't been happy in a single relationship? It could seem too late. But to run into somebody now who you care about is a much more passionate, deeper, truer and - God! - a much happier feeling. It's a lot more romantic and a lot more fulfilling to be in a relationship and to think you're a good person within it."

Earlier this week, the actor filed to adopt the "Monster" actress' son, Jackson, as they head down the aisle not too long after Sean Penn's interview on Charlize Theron.
