Joni Mitchell Health Takes Turn For Worse, ‘River’ Legend Fights For Her Life At ICU

One of the most well-known and beloved singer-songwriter women in the world is currently fighting for her life, as it has been reported that Joni Mitchell's health is far from being the best, and she's currently in such a bad state that she was rushed to the nearest intensive care unit.

In the past, Joni Mitchell's health has been questioned, as the legendary singer has stated that she believes to suffer from a condition called "Morgellons syndrome," which causes people to have hallucinations over being infested with things like insects or parasites; however, this isn't officially recognized as an illness.

According to BBC, concerns about Joni Mitchell's health first arose last Tuesday, as the 71 year-old star was rushed to the hospital after she was found unconscious in her Los Angeles home; an ambulance was called and she was quickly driven to a nearby hospital.

Back in December, concerns over Joni Mitchell's health arose as the singer told Billboard that she suffered from Morgellons, which had gotten so bad it would be preventing her from performing in the future, saying she wasn't singing anymore and she didn't miss it either, even considering her decades-running career, which goes back all the way to the 60s, when she entered the folk scene in times of protest.

TMZ reports that, as Joni Mitchell's health worsened, someone called 911 to speak about an unconscious female, though as paramedics took her to the hospital she became alert, waking up in the ambulance.

This happened at around 2:30 pm last Tuesday, and she was then taken to an unnamed hospital in the area and put in intensive care.

The New York Times reports that there's still no news in regards to what her condition is, namely, what exactly is she suffering from right now that has kept her in the ICU, though it's known that Joni Mitchell's health has been flaky over the past eight years.
