Taylor Swift Mom, Andrea Swift, Gives Moving Cancer Speech At Country Music Awards [PHOTOS+VIDEO]

Not long after her daughter made the news public that Taylor Swift's mom had been recently diagnosed with cancer, Andrea Swift makes her first major public appearance to support the "Shake It Off" singer - and gives a beautifully moving speech while she's giving an award to her daughter at the County Music Awards.

A few days ago, Food World News reported the sad news about Taylor Swift's mom, as the "You Belong With Me" singer wrote an open letter to her fans on her Tumblr describing that her mother was now undergoing treatment after an early diagnose of an unnamed type of cancer.

Time Magazine reports that, over the last Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards last Sunday, Taylor Swift's mom, Andrea, took the stage to present the 25 year-old with the Milestone award, and she spoke proudly of what her little girl had accomplished in her life.

According to BBC, Taylor Swift's mom got a standing ovation as she approached the stage, as the audience was aware of her recent cancer diagnosis - and then she got to speaking about her daughter, almost breaking to tears, saying that she'd been Taylor's "constant companion" over the course of the "1989" singer's life, as she had few friends growing up.

"I've watched this milestone artist from the time she was a tangle-haired little girl growing up on our farm filled with creativity, until now preparing for her world tour. Her favourite thing is to write a song, tell a story and play a guitar or piano," said Taylor Swift's mom, according to The Daily Mail. "There was the time she was 17, her dad and I strongly disapproved of a certain young man and rightfully so. She was mad, real mad, and she went to her room and closed the door. She came back about an hour later with a song called Love Story."
