100 Carat Diamond auction- Diamond is forever!  The 100 Carat Diamond auction at Sotheby's Auction House in New York was sold from an unnamed buyer for a stunning price of $22.1 million on Tuesday.

The 100 Carat Diamond auction, which was the best part of the jewelry sale had pre-sale estimate of $19 million to $25 million.

Everyone will fall in love with the design and transparency of the perfect 100 Carat Diamond auction. It is a rare diamond and Sotheby's claimed that the 100 Carat Diamond auction was among the six perfect diamonds with over 100 carats weight that have been sold at the auction from the last 25 years.

"This 100.20-carat diamond is the definition of perfection. The color is whiter than white. It is free of any internal imperfections," Gary Schuler, the head of Sotheby's jewelry department in New York said in a statement. He described the perfection of its transparency "to a pool of icy water."

Sotheby's claimed that the 100 Carat Diamond auction was the only classic emerald-cut white diamond of the highest color and clarity weighing over 100 carats, according to the Guardian.

The 100 Carat Diamond auction that ended up selling for more than $22 million is a magnificent jewel weighing exact 100.20 carats set in a platinum size of 6.5.  The Sotheby's described the sold jewel as "exceedingly rare" and a "miracle of nature," the USA Today reports.

Aside from its clarity and perfection, the 100 Carat Diamond auction is considered next to the world record holder of perfect diamond weighing more than 100 carats, the 118.28 carat white diamond which was sold at $30.6 million in Hong Kong two years ago, according to Reuters.

Schuler stated that it was the unique shape and size of the 100 Carat Diamond auction that sets it apart from the other diamonds sold in the auction.  The expensive diamond was one of the 350 jewels auctioned at Sotheby's. The auction is expected to fetch a total amount of over $50 million for all the jewelries.

The 100 Carat Diamond auction was the prime jewelry offered on Tuesday.

Sotheby's also auctioned a blue diamond and colored diamond ring weighing 6.06 carats, pear-shaped purplish pink diamond weighing 6.24 carats, Cartier Art Deco jewels- sapphire, platinum, emerald, lapis lazuli jewels, diamond pendant necklace, emerald, ruby, and diamond bracelet.

The 100 Carat Diamond auction that has a size of a walnut was mined by De Beers in Southern Africa within the last 10 years. The previous owner spent a year for perfecting its cut and polish, Sotheby's spokesman Darrell Rocha stated.
