Duggar Family: More Bad News Amid Molestation Scandal

Josh Duggar, the eldest child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, was recently under the spotlight for a molestation scandal. The "19 Kids & Counting" star admitted to molesting five minor-aged girls in 2002 and 2003.

The five underage girls Duggar previously molested include some of his own sisters. Allegations claim that Josh used to fondle the girls' genitals and breasts, as reported by TMZ.

The Duggar family was scheduled to appear on Oprah's show in 2006. An email tip was then sent to Harpo about Josh's alleged molestation. The production company forwarded the email to a hotline, which instigated the police investigation in the same year.

Statements have revealed that the 27-year-old Duggar son committed the sexual molestation when he was still a young teenager. No charges have been made as the statute of limitations has already been surpassed.

On Thursday, Josh gave a statement to PEOPLE about the recent scandal. "Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends," Duggar said.

In light of the recent allegations, Josh Duggar issued a public apology for the recently revealed incidents. He also resigned from the Family Research Council.

Unfortunately for the large-sized family, TLC has also pulled all the show's episodes. No announcements have yet been made regarding the possible cancellation of the show.

The Duggar Family was expected to be in attendance for the TLC Summer Block Party.

However, a recent report surfaced saying that the family has also been dropped from the roster. The event is scheduled for this weekend at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia.

Other celebrities scheduled to appear at the Philly event include Kate Gosselin, "Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro, the Roloff family from "Little People Big World," and Randy Fenoli, fashion director of Kleinfeld's, from the network's "Say Yes To The Dress."
