Fast & Furious 8, set for April 14, 2017

After garnering a staggering $1.5 billion at the global box office,Fast & Furious 7 will make all roads lead to a Fast & Furious 8! In the most recent CinemaCon, Vin Diesel disclosed that talks with Universal Pictures have been made for development of the 8th installment to the Fast and Furious movie franchise. Furious 8 is set to hit theaters on April 14, 2017.  Among the all-star cast in the franchise, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has confirmed that he will indeed be back to star in Furious 8. The rest of the cast are yet to be announced by Universal Pictures.

"The Rock" did not go into further details as to what awaits his character in the sequel. He also has been questioned if there is a possibility of a Spin Off for "Hobbs", his character. His reply was that it is a possibility. 

A buzz-worthy possible addition to VIn Diesel's Furious crew is Paul Walker's brother, Cody. He is very interested to join in their need for speed and has been offered talks on becoming a new character instead of being his late brother's double.

In the Jimmy Kimmel show, VIn Diesel revealed that Mr. Nobody, played by seasoned actor Kurt Russell, will indeed intertwine a series of events in Fast & Furious 8. New York City is set to be the new location and a perfect playground for the Fast and Furious crew to take on Mr Nobody. The global destinations featured in all of the Fast and Furious movies have layered to become a characters themselves. The Big Apple as the next road to Furious Eight?
