Kate Upton Movies: Dakota Fanning, Saoirse Ronan Up for Roles in 'Fantastic Beasts' Movie Adaptation

The spinoff to the 'Harry Potter' film series is quickly approaching development.

There were recent reports that the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' has found a leading man in Eddie Redmayne. The actor has been offered the lead role of Newt Scamander in the movie that will be set 70 years before Harry Potter is sent to Hogwarts.

Warner Bros. is now looking to fill up the other roles in the film. The Wrap has just announced that model Kate Upton is being considered for the role of Queenie, although Elizabeth Debicki and Katherine Waterston are also in the shortlist.

Meanwhile, Dakota Fanning and Saoirse Ronan are up for the role of Tina, Queenie's younger sister. Other actresses who are being considered are Lilli Simmons and Alison Sudol.

Queenie and Tina are two of the main characters in Rowling's novel. The book will reportedly be made into a trilogy.

'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them' will be directed by David Yates. Rowling is also working on the screenplay with Steve Kloves.

Upton has appeared on the cover of Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2012 and 2013. She has starred in movies like 'Tower Heist,' 'The Three Stooges' and 'The Other Woman.'

Debicki nabbed the AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in 'The Great Gatsby.' Waterston has received several award nominations for 'Inherent Vice,' which also starred Joaquin Phoenix.

Fanning is best known for playing Sean Penn's smart daughter in 'I Am Sam.' She has successfully transitioned to more adult roles in movies like 'The Runaways' and 'Now is Good.'

Ronan received critical acclaim for playing the young Briony Tallis in 2007's 'Atonement.' Her most recent project was 2014's 'The Grand Budapest Hotel.'

Simmons has appeared in the TV series 'Banshee' while Sudol has starred in the series 'Transparent' and 'Dig.'
