McDonald’s Australia Launches All Day Breakfast [PHOTOS]

McDonald's has announced it will now offer an all-day breakfast menu in Australia. For years fast food fans have rushed to McDonalds craving an Egg McMuffin only to be told the breakfast menu is over.

McDonald's Down Under has decided to introduce an all-day breakfast menu, making hash browns and sausage and egg McMuffins a 24-hour snack.

“Macca’s restaurants across Wollongong and the Illawarra be serving breakfast favourites including the Bacon and Egg and Sausage and Egg McMuffins, Hashbrowns and Hotcakes 24 hours, seven days a week,” McDonald’s said in a press release.

McDonald's began trialling the idea in the US earlier this year.

The reason why it is not yet in place everywhere even with a high demand is because McDonald's grills are not big enough for cooking the breakfast and lunch menu at the same time.

On the chain's UK site, it also says the universal holding cabinet that is used to store food is almost at full capacity so there would be no space for both breakfast and lunch menu items.

It is still a race to get to the counter before 10.30am for the rest of the popular chain's branches.

But as of today, McDonald’s restaurants across NSW’s Illawarra region will now be enjoying their breakfast menu all-day long.

"We are always listening and taking on feedback from our customers and All Day Breakfast was one that people are always asking of us" said Mark Lollback, McDonald Australia's chief marketing officer.

"We are excited to let our customers know that we have heard them and to announce that our Wollongong patrons will have the opportunity to be among the first in Australia to enjoy all-day breakfast.”

The Gold Coast will be next, with plans to later expand the all-day breakfast menu across the rest of the country.
