Caitlyn Jenner To The Transgender Community: 'Am I Doing It Right?'

Caitlyn Jenner got a little personal and aired our her self-doubts to the transgender community for support on her recent blog post. The 65-year old reality television star and former Olympian wrote a touching essay for Whosay on Monday, July 6.

The star, who went through her transition just a couple of weeks ago, stated that she still has a lot of catching up to do when had she cut herself off from the transgender community before she came out as Caitlyn Jenner.

She also feels she's responsible to get things together and tell all sides of the story. For Caitlyn, the biggest question has always been, 'Am I doing it right?'

"Up until now, I have totally isolated myself from the transgender community so I have a lot of catching up to do." Caitlyn wrote. "I feel such a responsibility to this courageous group to try to get it right and tell all sides of the story. To me, that's always the biggest question: am I doing it right?"

Caitlyn started her post by thanking her supporters for their "overwhelmingly positive" responses after she completely turned from Bruce to Caitlyn Jenner.

She stated how grateful she was for all the sweet means of support through messages, letters and gifts.

"The response to my journey has been overwhelmingly positive and I'm eternally grateful for all your sweet messages, letters and gifts," she wrote.

Caitlyn also shared in her blog how much she has 'learnt' about other transgenders. "I've already learned so much about this community, the issues, and the people involved. It's been an eye-opening experience for me - mainly realising how fortunate I am," she wrote.

She even added that how she sees her transgender friends overcome their adversities, serving as a huge inspiration to her being new in the community.

"Seeing how my new friends have overcome their adversities is such an inspiration. They are so well-adjusted and smart," she wrote. "I'll be sharing their stories here in the coming weeks and I can't wait for you to get to know them. They are just like you and me."

Caitlyn ended her blog with a very positive phrase, encouraging everyone to live on their true selves.

"Let's live our true selves and make a positive difference while doing it."
