On Leah Remini’s Scientology TLC Show, J.Lo’s BFF Discusses ‘Hard Repercussions’ On Leaving Tom Cruise And John Travolta’s Religion

Best known for her work in Kevin James' sitcom "King of Queens" as well as her close friendship with megastar "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez, the past couple of years have seen Leah Remini's Scientology beliefs challenged, after the actress and hostess famously left the celebrity-filled Church.

After having been very vocal in the past about Leah Remini's Scientology problems, the actress and former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant has just released the new season of her reality show on TLC, "Leah Remini: It's All Relative," where she exposes her involvement with the Church since she was a young child - and the consequences of her departure.

According to The Independent, the season 2 premiere of the reality series was deeply focused on Leah Remini's Scientology feud, as she opened up about what was it like for the actress after she departed in 2013 after having been involved in its teachings for roughly 30 years.

'When you leave, you can leave quietly,' the actress said, The Daily Mail reports, during the latest Leah Remini Scientology confession. "But If you make a stink in the public world, they call you a Suppressive Person, which means the church has put a stamp on you that says you are bad. They then go to all your family and friends and say you have to disconnect from this Suppressive Person."

There's definitely a public fascination with the Church, not just from Leah Remini's Scientology words, but there have been others in the past telling similar stories, including "Crash" director Paul Haggis and the recent documentary "Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief."

A few weeks back, it was reported that a cousin of Justin Theroux, "Friends" superstar Jennifer Aniston's fiancé, was currently making a new documentary about the Church founded by L. Ron Hubbard, which was terrifying Aniston due to the Church's known power in Hollywood.

According to Gawker, the number of members of Scientology in Hollywood is very extensive, including not only Tom Cruise and John Travolta but also the likes of Beck, Juliette Lewis, Kirstey Alley, Jenna Elfman, "Mad Men" star Elisabeth Moss and Elvis Presley's former wife Priscilla.

Following the recent Leah Remini Scientology claims, a spokesperson for the Church stated that she was "changing history" to "seem relevant again."
