LG Gentle: Company To Release New Android Flip Phone

LG has announced a new flip phone called 'LG Gentle' that is powered by the latest version of the Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system. Unlike most smartphones issued nowadays, the new model features the almost extinct T9 keypad.

The new phone features a 3.2-inch screen along with a 3-megapixel camera which is considered low-res for a mobile camera. It also includes a RAM of 1GB and an expandable storage space of 4GB. The model is somehow similar to the Razr of Motorola.

The new device has a screen resolution of 320 x 480 pixels which is lower than the other smartphones. It is supported by a 32-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 System-on-Chip which is based on the ARM Cortex-A7 processor that is power efficient. A Bluetooth 4 is also included together with a high speed WiFi.

The LG Gentle has a 1,700 mAh battery that gives the phone a longer battery life. Compared to the smartphones released these days, the new model has low-tech features which were intended to reduce the use of the device making it less distractive to its owner.

The LG Gentle is very affordable at $179. The price of phone is one of the reasons why many prefer the flip phone.

The new phone is ideal for users who want to get away from being too dependent on smartphones. The reduced features of the device will lessen the addiction to smartphones. Flip phones are highly preferred in the some parts of Asia.

From the name of the phone itself, the device offers peace and calmness to the users who are used to multipurpose smartphones. Since there are only limited things you can do with the phone, life becomes less complicated.

The new LG Gentle will available in South Korea on July 30. The tech company has not yet revealed if the will also be offered in other countries.
