Cindy Crawford Net Worth: Supermodel To Produce TV Show 'Icon' About '80s Modeling World [PHOTOS]

Cindy Crawford has been known to be one of the original supermodels across the globe. But now, the 49-year-old fashion industry veteran is producing a TV series to unearth the secrets behind the fashion and modeling world.

Called "Icon," the NBC show is also produced (and written) by Robin Bissell of "The Hunger Games" franchise.

The project was originally brought to Cindy Crawford by Anne Heche and James Tupper, who are also executive producers of the upcoming show.

The premise of the series is about the drama that happens beyond what most people see in the modeling industry. In fact, the show primarily revolves around the drama and 'wars' between Ford Modeling Agency and Elite Model Management back in the 1980s.

Although many would suspect that the show would reveal Cindy Crawford's experiences during the time, the show is completely fictional, and it won't be using the names of actual celebrities, as per Variety.

Unfortunately for fans, Cindy Crawford won't be appearing on the show. The supermodel will strictly remain as a producer. "I do not like acting," Crawford admitted to British Vogue in a previous interview.

This is Cindy Crawford's first stint on producing a TV series. Cindy Crawford net worth currently sums up to $100 million. But if the show becomes a huge success, expect this amount to rise greatly.

Cindy Crawford first rose to fame in the 1980s. Other pioneers of the "supermodel" status include Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christie Brinkley, Brooke Shields, Elle Macpherson, and Christy Turlington.
