White House Responds To Kanye West's Presidential Bid, Rihanna Says She'd Vote For Yeezy

On Sunday at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West announced he plans to run for president in 2020. While everybody thought Kanye has gone nuts, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest wonders what the 'Black Skinhead' rapper's campaign would look like.

In his acceptance speech after receiving the Micheal Jackson Video Vanguard award, West was all fired-up speaking for artists. "I will die for the art! For what I believe in. And the art ain't always gonna be polite," he ranted. "And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president."

While boarding Air Force One with President Barack Obama on Monday, Earnest was asked about his thoughts on the rapper's presidential bid. As quoted by the Associated Press, he is looking "forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat."

US Magazine reports Kanye has previously spoke about how he and wife Kim Kardashian can actually be more influential than the President and the First Lady. Talking about being on the cover of Vogue magazine, Yeezy told Ryan Seacrest they're like the first couple of fashion. "Collectively, we're the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [President Barack Obama] is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day."

In his interview in Jimmy Kimmel Live, the US president shares he's known the rapper before he was big. "I've met Kanye twice. The first time was when I was a senator and he was with his mom. He'd just gotten big," the president said. "He's from Chicago, so they wanted us to meet, and he was very soft-spoken and very gracious. He was a young guy, and hadn't quite come into his own."

Entertainment Tonight reports Rihanna would vote for Kanye, too. "I mean, people are voting for [Donald] Trump," the 27-year-old 'Four Five Seconds'singer said. "Who wouldn't vote for Kanye?!"
