Donald Trump Signs The Pledge

Amidst the whole drama that is going on with his campaign, Donald Trump has decided to sign the pledge. It means that he is making a promise not to have a third-party candidacy and that whoever the GOP nominee may be; he pledges to also support that person according to CNN.

On Thursday afternoon, Trump met on a private session with the Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus. After that, he went out of the lobby of Trump Tower showing the people that he signed the loyalty pledge. This assures everyone that whoever the party eventually nominates, his full support is expected and that he won't even run as a third-party candidate. While he was out declaring to the people his signed pledge, he said out loud the words, "The best way for the Republicans to win is if I win the nomination and go directly against whoever they happen to put up. And for that reason, I have signed the pledge. So I will be totally pledging my allegiance to the Republican Party and for the conservative principles for which it stands."

Trump is serious about this matter that he said he and his party will go out and would fight hard and he is even sure that they will win.

The Guardian said that the Republican was afraid that should Trump not secure his presidential nomination for the party, it could mean that he might be going for the independent route and it could mean that the Republican's position might no longer be available for the White House.

But this problem and fear has already been addressed since Trump signed the pledge. The Washington Post said that it is such a load off for the party's back and now they're back to not having to worry about anything.
