Johnny Depp Wife Amber Heard: Did Edward Scissorhands Just Threaten Minister Barnaby Joyce Over Australia Dog Drama? [VIDEO]

A few months back, upon entering Australia with Johnny Depp's wife, Amber Heard, the 52 year-old actor and his new wife were accused of smuggling their two dogs, teacup terriers Pistol and Boo, into the country, and were forced to fly them back to California or face euthanasia - and there has been drama over this ever since.

Currently, Johnny Depp's wife is being charged with smuggling the two pooches into the land Down Under, and she could be facing years of prison if she were found guilty - but her Oscar-nominated husband won't have it, as he just told Jimmy Kimmel!

According to The Daily Mail, Kimmel recently asked the actor about the dog-related charges Johnny Depp's wife is currently facing in Australian courts, after the country's Agriculture Minister, Barnaby Jones, spoke publicly about how Depp wasn't above the law because he was a movie star and had been named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive.

As Vanity Fair reports, before asking the actor about the legal issue currently at bay with Johnny Depp's wife, Kimmel showed a couple of clips of Joyce's statements about the dog situation, and Depp took things quite lightly saying that perhaps the Australian politician was "just doing his job" after Kimmel called Joyce a "maniac."

When asked about what would happen if Johnny Depp's wife was actually found guilty - she could be facing up to ten years of prison if that were the case -, Sydney Morning Herald reports that the actor continued joking with deadpan delivery, saying he would "assault" Jones.

"I'd just fly to Australia and assault that man," said Depp. "So that I could go to jail."

Currently, the actor is promoting his latest film, "Black Mass," where he co-stars with the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Fanning and Corey Stoll.
