Renowned Fashion Critic Cathy Horyn Blasts Kanye West's Yeezy Line, Show Attendees

Renowned fashion critic Cathy Horyn criticized Kanye West's sophomore Yeezy collection - including his supporters - in her New York Week review which is published in New York Magazine's "The Cut" on Thursday.

The former New York Times fashion critic solicitously dissected Kanye's pushy endeavor. She admitted she "was embarrassed to find" herself running to the show due to worries of "panic at the door," Us Weekly shared.

"A great to-do is made over Kanye West, the Designer," Cathy wrote. "Yesterday, I was embarrassed to find myself running up Tenth Avenue to his Yeezy show - but I feared panic at the door, security guards twice my size, and a path through the mob just big enough for a rat to squeeze through, all of which turned out to be the case."

Kanye's second season featured his models who stomped through the warehouse-like space in nude-toned hoodies, bodysuits leggings and leotards and loose-fitting pants and military-inspired utility jackets. Like several others, Cathy found similarities between the rapper's first line and his second.

"Yeezy Season 2 was kind of amusing," she penned. "Again, West worked with the performance artist Vanessa Beecroft, and again, he showed hoodies, baggy pants, and beige under-things, as if time these past six months had stood still."

Aside from Cathy, there were few people who were not happy with Kanye's headline-grabbing event.

Designer Anne Bowen told Women's Wear Daily that her team had to reschedule the date of her street wear collection show called "Nomad VII by Anne Bowen" because of the last-minute addition of the reality star.

"Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this," she admitted to the periodical. "It's like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this."

The husband of Kim Kardashian debuted his latest pieces called "Kanye West X Adidas Originals Collection Yeezy Season 2" on Wednesday. Among the famous faces in the crowd were Lorde, Drake, Jaden Smith, Seth Meyers, Andre Leon Talley and singer Debbie Harry, International Design Times reported.
