Sony To Release 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' Themed PlayStation 4

Sony has just revealed a special 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' themed PlayStation 4. The limited edition bundle will be available in North America and Europe this coming November 6 at a price of $499.99.

The special themed PS4 bundle is made possible through the collaboration of the American videogame publisher Activision and the tech company Sony.

Back in 2014, Activision and Microsoft have joined forces to manufacture a 1 TB Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One package. During the time, the said bundle was marked as the first console to have a 1 TB hard drive size.

The new team up however, may mean that Sony was successful in winning Activision away from Microsoft as the Japanese company is now the one who will be using the Call of Duty bundle.

Aside from the 1 TB hard drive, the new PS4 console will have an ember orange logo on a Jet Black chassis with a colored power and eject buttons. The Black Ops 3 standard edition will be available in the bundle in addition to the Nuk3town multiplayer map.

It can also be observed that the console has three emblems which signify the three game modes that can be played in the new Call of Duty sequel. The SOG skull represents the campaign mode, the Winslow Accord group logo indicating one of the factions that can be played by the gamer in the multiplayer mode, and "the mark" which designates zombies.

In addition, the DualShock 4 controller will come in a combination of a smooth grey and orange color, with a roman numeral III at its right grip. The controller will be sold separately.

Rob Kostich, the Activision's GM for Call of Duty stated that the beta test of the videogame on PS4, which was launched just last month, was a "phenomenal success."
